Welcome back! This past I finally managed to sit down and play Halo Flashpoint with our buddy Jake (Not from state farm, and not Ryan!) This game is so much fun and it really feels like you are playing the video game. I had played a learning round a few weeks ago, and watching Cody play made me ready to try this game out.

These are the “pool” of guys to choose from. I picked four and was ready to deploy some terrain. I enjoy playing with Jake because he makes sure that all information is presented before we get carried away with our decisions. When we deployed we made sure to talk about our intentions and he was great at providing a clear explanation of the rules when the arrived.

Having the scout move was fun, it let me create some pressure up the flank. I was able to get my opponent to take a higher ground, making it easy for my squad leader to take them out.

With some crazy luck, good pick ups I was able to take out his guy, while leaving my leader in a vulnerable spot. As you can see Jake decided to take the high ground and be all Obi-Wan about it!

It was advised to me that this guy on top was not in a good spot at all, and to this I said fortune favors the bold! These are learning games, so you should take all the chances you can to find out something new!

After this point we had beaten the snot out of each other, and we had to start letting people come in from the respawns. This is where the game really took off and was an absolute blast, and I forgot to take remaining pictures. He was able to kill almost my whole team in one turn, but with the respawn mechanic and rolling additional model activations on my command dice. I was able to secure the fourth and final kill before he had a chance to take out my last guy!
This game is a blast to play, and it has a lot of new releases coming out! You should defiantly pick up a copy, and look for more information here! Stay Classy Wargamers!
