Welcome back sports fans! We are in for a treat as your favorite Blood Bowlers are back and ready to take the pitch! The Fanatical Fedoras are fired up for their match against the Nuln Sewerjacks! The teams take to the pitch and the Sewerjacks will receive the ball. The sky is clear and the weather is perfect conditions for Blood Bowl! With the warm rays of the sun radiating over the pitch, will the Lady’s Blessing be received?

The Fedora’s are lined up to kick the ball to the Sewerjacks, you can notice the wide positioning, as the Fedora’s have no idea what to expect from their opponents.

After the SewerJacks moved up the fedoras decided to cage them in, you can tell who the most veteran player is on the field, and he was holding the back of the field down. Or do you think he was back there picking flower? That is what I did when I played baseball, our team wasn’t very good so we pretty much walked every batter. By the end of the season the outfield was covered in dandelions.

The ogre was not smart enough to pick the halfling up, and Griff was right to have stayed back. His pride got the best of him when he assumed the ogre was going to be stupid for the rest of the game. He also noticed the slightest sight of hunger in the ogre’s eyes.

This is why we play blood bowl folks! The Ogre’s biggest fan, Fiona, threw the lovable giant a snickers bar! After pulling the wrapper out from his third tooth, he was ready to pick up a halfling and launch it back to Fiona! THE CLASSIC SNICKER-FOR-A-HALFLING-SHUFFLE! I can’t believe it bob we are watching history in the making! Fortunately for the Halfling and the team, the Ogre can’t throw well and he missed the target of Fiona in the crowd, and instead landed on the pitch. Just outside a halfling’s step.

The fedora’s who are frustrated from the disaster of the debut of “Shrek 5: Blood Balls” could not react to the now lowest rated rotten tomatoes movie fast enough! The Hafling would have celebrated his touch down, but he did not realize the Snicker’s wrapper was wedged in between his hand and the ball. And as he reached to score, the wrapper fell out and he tripped on it. This Halfling has been through alot, and he is denied a celebration of his Traumatic tale.

After the kick, the Fedora’s just have to pick up the ball…

The Fedora’s are working the bodies, they are opening lanes to score! They just have to, pick up the ball…

Three turns of not picking the ball up, nuffle said…

And on the 8th day, the lord commanded Pick thy ball up, and score thy touch down!

Another solid Kick!

SewerJacks take the match 2-1!

This was an absolute blast of a game to watch. I really felt that I was making the right plays, I just spent my rerolls too early. I think that the only time you should spend rerolls when you are starting is on offensive drives, probably that only involve the ball handler. This game is about managing the outcomes of the uncertainty of dice rolls. There are skills that help mitigate all of that, but the most important thing to remember is to do the risky things last.

When you start your turn you should get your guys up that you don’t have any other moves for, like ones in a tackle zone. Next you should throw your tackles with your blockers, anything to avoid an untimely turnover. But don’t get caught up in making blocks just to make them, if you have something you need to do, do that, the rest can wait.

Blood bowl is a fantastic game, and it has a lot of moving components. I am working on an intro to 7s, and I think I am going to start a 7s league in the Decatur Al region! Make sure you follow the blog and leave a like! Stay Classy Wargamers!
