About

About me

Hello, my name is Derek Clark. There isn’t a whole lot that I don’t like anymore, and what I do like I usually love doing it! Everyday brings us a new challenge to overcome, and I am constantly seeking to improve myself in every aspect of life. I believe that anyone can achieve anything if they put their minds to it, and are willing to accept help from those who have done already.

I’ve been playing games of all kinds ever since I can remember, but there are two genres that have always been my favorites. Those are RPGs and strategy games, it can be on any medium, but Miniature gaming is by far my favorite. I have mostly played 40K for over 20 years now, ranging from casual pick up games to playing in large GTs. I’m by no means here to sell you on the idea that I’m some great 40K player. What I am to bring to the community is all the information I get from this game, I am going to analyze and share my thoughts. Hoping that if I can help at least one person, then all of this would have been worth it!

Expertise

Coaching

Throughout my life I have been elected to be team captain in soccer, achieved manager positions in my early 20s, and I have a family of 3 kids. I can identify potential weaknesses and can help to apply a plan to promote growth. I’d love to help coach people, and to help share the ideas of self improvement.

Painting

I love painting, this is not a statement I used to always boast. However through my adult years, this has grown to be my favorite part of the hobby. I am transitioning into more of a full time painter, which means I will be writing lots of how to paint stuff. I’d love to help the community grow with little tips and pointers for people to grow upon. I do commission painting, however it is upon request but looking to start doing it more seriously if the demand was high enough.

Summary

If you can take one message away from all my ramblings, it’s that I want to surround myself with people who are as passionate about improving their lives. This community has always been a home for me, and now I feel that it’s time to add to the community. Please consider following the blog, and sign up for our monthly newsletter (when I get around to setting it up). So please sit back and enjoy the wild ride, Rage Against the Meta has the wheel, where will we go?
